Cycles that Spiral

Our modern concepts of ‘Circular Design’ & ‘Circular Economy’ are geometrically flawed.

By examining the latest insights of earth science and theoretical physics through the lens of the indigenous people of the island of Northern Luzon in the West Philippines Sea we can evaluate our modern linear and circular process from an Earthen perspective. Current entropy research by theoretical physicists posits a pattern of adaptive dissipation in the way matter organizes itself in the presence of sustained energy inputs. Meanwhile, parallel breakthroughs in cosmological epistemology help make sense of the Earth’s unfolding kinetic character. Photo by Gladys Maximo: A forested valley in the Northern Philippines.
